Day 1

San José Arrival (TA) – Transfer to Arenal (approx. 3 hours)

Welcome to Costa Rica! Your itinerary starting point is San Jose International Airport. Our representative will escort you through the airport and introduce you to your private driver. If you have a car rental, hotel shuttle, booked transportation on your own, or a reservation for a local flight, our airport concierge will guide you to the relevant location.

Our Meet & Greet Service also includes in-country customer service (call us in-country at 506-4002-3661). This service is available to assist you in booking tours, answering concerns, or just for advice during your trip.

Private Transfer

Enjoy your private ground transfer as you explore the scenery of Costa Rica in a private air-conditioned unit with your English-speaking driver. Drive time is approx 3 hours.

Amor Arenal Hotel

Amor Arenal is a boutique luxury lodge near Arenal Volcano featuring 31 casitas designed with local materials and forest inspiration. Located minutes from La Fortuna, the adults-only property combines secluded natural surroundings with high-end amenities.

Each casita includes a private deck with volcano views and heated mineral water plunge pool. Accommodations feature air conditioning, smart TV, double rain showers, and a complimentary minibar. The property’s design emphasises connecting with nature through large windows and open spaces.

Day 2

Arenal – La Fortuna Waterfall Hike

We’ll pick you up today to show you the La Fortuna Waterfall, one of Arenal’s best and most beautiful landmarks. After a short journey from your hotel, we’ll arrive at the reserve, where you’ll descend around 600 steps to reach the base of the impressive 210-foot waterfall.

Once at the base of the waterfall, you can take a well-deserved and refreshing dip in the natural pool formed by the La Fortuna River before heading for a well-deserved farm-to-table lunch at Finca Vida Campesina, featuring authentic Costa Rican cuisine prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The meal includes homemade produce and traditionally prepared Costa Rican coffee. After lunch, we’ll take you back to your accommodations to enjoy the rest of the day. This tour is suitable for all, although you need a reasonable level of fitness for hiking up and down multiple steps.

Day 3

Arenal – Congo-Combo (Ziplining + Hanging Bridges)

Experience the perfect blend of nature and adventure with the Congo Combo. The tour begins with a 3.2 km (2-mile) walk through the Hanging Bridges, taking you across 16 bridges — 10 fixed and 6 hanging — suspended between 20 and 55 meters (65 to 180 feet) above the ground.

Enjoy panoramic views of the lush rainforest and the majestic Arenal Volcano as a naturalist guide shares insights about the rich diversity of flora and fauna within this protected reserve.

Next, get ready for a rush of adrenaline with the canopy tour. After receiving the necessary equipment and a safety briefing from the expert guides, you will start the adventure, which includes 8 ziplines and 13 strategically placed platforms that offer different perspectives of the forest. After the sixth cable, you will experience an optional but thrilling Tarzan Swing — a 20-meter (65-foot) free swing that lets you soar among the trees, adding an extra burst of excitement to your experience.

Day 7

Upala – Playa Danta: Private Transfer

We’ll pick you up directly from your accommodations for a private transfer. Your driver will meet you at checkout, assist with your luggage, and ensure you’re comfortable for the journey. Along the way, you’re welcome to stop for meals, snacks, bathroom breaks, or photos, or head straight to your destination if you prefer.

• Your transfer includes: Door-to-door private transportation, a personal driver, and bottled water.
• Duration: Direct drive time is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes without breaks.

Casa Chameleon Las Catalinas

Day 9

Playa Danta – Sunset Catamaran Tour

We’ll pick you up from your hotel or vacation rental for an unforgettable sunset experience along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast. Board the modern and comfortable Panache Catamaran, where the friendly crew will welcome you with tropical cocktails as you set sail from the Flamingo Marina.

From the prow, you’ll search for dolphins, sea turtles, and occasionally whales while enjoying the coastal scenery. The tour includes a short stop for snorkelling and kayaking in the refreshing Pacific waters. Meanwhile, the chef prepares delicious snacks including chicken burritos, guacamole, refried beans, chips and dips, pico de gallo, fresh fruits, cookies, and vegetables.
